A leading Nigerian media organisation, Liberty Media Group, has announced plans to host a high-profile press conference in Abuja aimed at unveiling a new national engagement initiative focused on peace-building, governance, and economic transformation.

According to a statement issued by the organisation, the initiative comes at a time when calls for national cohesion, accountability, and inclusive development continue to dominate public discourse across Nigeria.
The event is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at the corporate headquarters of LibertyTV and Radio in Abuja, beginning at 12 noon prompt. The media conference is expected to attract members of the press, local and international broadcast organisations, digital media platforms, and other stakeholders within the wider media community.
Executive Chairman of the media group, Alhaji (Dr.) Tijjani Ramalan, will preside over the event and deliver a keynote address during the live broadcast, which will air both on traditional broadcast channels and online streaming platforms.
At the centre of the gathering is the unveiling of the Liberty TVR Initiative — a platform the organisation says is designed to promote constructive national dialogue and encourage collaborative action on critical national issues. According to the statement, the initiative seeks to foster conversations and partnerships around sustainable peace, economic development, good governance, and responsible media participation across Nigeria.
The organisers noted that the platform is intended to serve as a bridge between citizens, policymakers, civil society groups, and the media in addressing pressing socio-economic and political challenges facing the country.
The event is also expected to provide insight into the organisation’s broader vision for media-driven civic engagement and national development.
